Action day for all at Willows

An event that will appeal to all members of the public is the inaugural Willows Challenge.  The event is aimed at large and small, young and young at heart in a safe and refreshing environment on Saturday 13 September at The Willows Resort.

The event encompasses a Potjiekos Competition hosted by PERCCI.  Frontier Events will be staging the Amazing Race where companies, social clubs, family or friends can enjoy adventures and team building. The activities also include a 5km fun run or walk and a 10km run or walk under the auspices of one of the most established clubs in the Eastern Cape Achilles Amateur Athletic Association.  To top the array of events to choose from there will also be a climbing wall, abseiling, paintball, tug of war, giant sumo wrestling, a mechanical bull, a golf driving range, jumping castles, a supervised small kiddies area with various foods and refreshments on sale.

“We are delighted to be part of this initiative and hope that it attracts ‘the man on the street’ as there are not many events that cater for the whole family in such a picturesque and secure environment,” said Herman Nell of The Willows.

“Organisers have also confirmed that surplus funds raised will also be used to host one hundred children from the MTR Smit Children’s Home on the day of the event and depending on public support additional funds will be given to the worthy beneficiary,” said Media Liaison Carol-Anne Cash.

Prizes will be up for grabs in all the activities including a R1000 and R500 cash lucky draw prizes.
